Who we are

Axil is a trading name of Daya Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16504210, with its registered office at 305 Roundhay Road, Leeds, LS8 4HT, United Kingdom. Businesses we review and contact

We review how businesses appear online using publicly available information, such as:

• the business name, website, address, phone number, opening hours and category;
• its public Google Business Profile, including ratings, review counts and whether the owner replies to reviews;
• its listings in public directories;
• how its website performs, for example page speed and whether booking or contact links work.

This is mostly information about a business, but some of it can identify a person, such as a named contact’s work email address. If we contact you, we also keep the work email address we used and where we found it, the emails we exchange, whether an email could not be delivered, and any request to stop contacting you.

We use this information to prepare a short report on how the business could be found more easily, and to send it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: helping businesses improve their online presence and offering our services to them. We only use public, business-related information, we contact businesses at work addresses, and every email explains why it was sent and lets you opt out in one step.

We only send unsolicited emails to corporate subscribers, such as limited companies, at business addresses. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails to sole traders or partnerships without their consent.

Opting out

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we honour one-click unsubscribe requests from your email provider. You can also email hello@axilco.com. Once you opt out, we stop contacting that address and keep only a minimal record so that we do not contact you again.

People who use Axil

We collect your name, work email address, organisation and role; sign-in and security records; and what you do in Axil, such as audits you create and reports you approve and send, so there is an accurate record of what was approved and sent, and by whom. If you connect a service such as a Google mailbox, Axil only accesses it after you grant permission, stores the access token encrypted, uses it only for the approved purpose, and lets you revoke it at any time.

We use this to provide Axil, keep it secure and keep an audit trail of approvals. Our lawful bases are contract, steps taken at your request before a contract, legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.

People who open a shared report

Each report link is unique to one version of one report, works only after that report has been approved and sent, expires after 90 days, and can be withdrawn at any time. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on report pages.

AI and automated processing

Axil uses AI to help read public information about a business, suggest findings and draft emails. A person always reviews and approves a report, and each email, before anything is sent. We do not make decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects by automated means alone.

Service providers and transfers

We use service providers who act on our instructions under contracts that protect your information: Vercel (website and application hosting), Supabase (database, sign-in and storage), Anthropic (AI used to read evidence and draft text), DataForSEO (public search and business-profile data), Firecrawl (reading public web pages), Google (sending and receiving email from a connected mailbox), and the platforms a client chooses to connect. We do not sell personal information.

Some providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement, or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep information

• Information about businesses we review: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
• Reports, their approval history, and emails we exchange: 6 years, so we can show exactly what was sent.
• Opt-out records: kept so that we never contact you again, holding only the minimum needed.
• Axil user accounts: while the account is active, then 12 months.
• Report links: expire after 90 days.

Security

We protect information with access controls that keep each organisation’s data separate, encrypted storage of connected-service credentials, and least-privilege access. If a breach is likely to affect you, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, and to correct, delete or restrict it, or to transfer it. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can always object to direct marketing. Email hello@axilco.com; we will reply within one month. Website cookies

This website does not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking. Essential infrastructure may process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the site.
